The Rwenzori mountain range is an up-and-coming source of consistently high-quality Ugandan green coffee beans. The Rwenzoris are now known for producing high-quality natural/dry process coffees. Grown at altitudes of 1900-2200masl, new receiving and washing stations in the region have elevated the quality of arabicas coming out of Uganda.

Until the 90s, Rwenzori coffee production remained discreet, limited in volume and known only by coffee trading specialists. The situation changed during the 2000s, when the coffee market found an important coffee plant mutation which positively impacted the region’s production, providing an exit  from the traditional commodity market and into the Specialty Grade Coffee market. This delicious fruit-forward dry processed coffee is indicative of the massive quality progress made throughout the Rwenzori Mountain region. We are proud to carry this high-intensity coffee again this season.
